New chairman for MPI Denmark

Following the annual general meeting at Hilton Copenhagen Airport on 15 April, Wonderful Copenhagen's marketing director, Lars Ramme Nielsen, has been selected as the new chairman of Meeting Professionals International Denmark (MPI).

Lars Ramme Nielsen was elected as chairman - the post's formal title is President - at the organisation's annual meeting on Tuesday 15th. Lars Ramme Nielsen replaces the previous chairman, Søren Damstrup, from the incoming bureau, Absolute Scandinavia. Søren Damstrup will continue on the MPI's board.

"It is an honour to take over the post of chairman for an organisation in such great shape. The satisfaction of members is high, the economy is robust and the perspective on the future is great," says Lars Ramme Nielsen.

MPI has around 24,000 members around the world organised into 68 national chapters. There are 225 members of the Danish chapter. MPI has its Danish administration at VisitDenmark in Copenhagen.
