New congress center to be certified with The Green Key
This year will see the opening of the Tivoli Congress Center and, already during the building phase, the new center has taken into account a range of environmental demands, including those required to receive a Green Key.
Construction is in full swing on Copenhagen's spectacular new conference center, Tivoli Congress Center, and the adjacent, 402-room, themed Tivoli Hotel, right in the heart of the city, only few minutes from Copenhagen City Hall square.
The Arp-Hansen Hotel Group is behind the new hotel and congress center. The chain currently has 10 hotels in Copenhagen, all of which have Green Key certification. And, already during the construction phase of both the new hotel and the new congress center, certification has been a major consideration. The Green Key sets standards for conducting a responsible environmental strategy within energy, water consumption, reduction in waste, use of organic produce and a healthy indoor climate.
A state-of-the-art business centre; gourmet restaurant; and, up on the 12th floor, a Sky Bar from where guests will be able to take in stunning views over the city and the waterfront, are just a few of the added extras at Tivoli Congress Center. Tivoli Hotel and Tivoli Congress Center have been given an exciting thematic design touch by the Tivoli Gardens, the city's biggest tourist attraction, with which Arp-Hansen Hotel Group has entered into a strategic alliance. Interaction and cooperation between the two on combined product packages, all the fun of fair, and a bus to shuttle guests between the hotel and the amusement park will add a new dimension to experiencing one of Denmark's top tourist attractions. Tivoli Congress Center and Tivoli Hotel are within walking distance of the Tivoli Gardens.
