The best convention bureau

Copenhagen's official convention bureau Wonderful Copenhagen has been voted Best Overseas Convention Bureau.

Yesterday at the Meetings & Incentive Travel Industry Awards held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London, the CVB Wonderful Copenhagen was voted the Best Overseas Convention Bureau. The other runners up were the Monaco Government Tourist Office and the Vienna Convention Bureau.

The award ceremony was arranged by the Meetings and Incentive Travel Magazine. Wonderful Copenhagen has never been among the nominees before and is extremely honoured to receive the award. Senior Director Mr Ole Andersen comments:

- We are, of course, very proud and delighted to win. We have worked intensively on the British market for many years together with VisitDenmark in London and the British market is the second largest foreign market for Copenhagen when it comes to MICE-related business. The fact that it was the readers of the magazine who voted us the best overseas convention bureau underlines that our activities in Great Britain have been noted and appreciated.

In 2004 British business visitors accounted for 208.140overnights in Copenhagen hotels, which makes the British market the second largest, surpassed only by the Swedes.
