Copenhagen offers venues for both large and small congresses. Most of the international events held in the city host 100-500 delegates. But several mega-congresses have also been held in the city, eg. the EASD Annual Meeting (European Association for Study of Diabetes) in 2006, which atttracted more than 14,000 delegates.

... Copenhagen has the best and most efficient airport in Europe

Copenhagen airport was ranked the best airport in Europe for the fifth consecutive year by the passengers. In 2005 Copenhagen Airport was awarded the title of "Europe's Most Efficient Airport" by the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS). The airport is served by more than 60 airlines with non stop flights to and from 130 destinations world-wide.  

...Copenhagen has a well-developed infrastructure

 Public transportation in Copenhagen is reliable, frequent and inexpensive. The airport is only 12 minutes from the city centre by train, and with the opening of a new Metro line in September this year,  transportation time will be reduced further. The Øresund Bridge between Denmark and Sweden has reduced the journey time between Copenhagen City Centre and Malmo to just 35 minutes.

...Copenhagen has more than 27,000 hotel rooms

The Øresund region, including Copenhagen, has more than 27,000 hotel rooms in all categories from family run hotels to international hotel chains like Hilton International and Marriott. About 12,000 of the rooms are in Copenhagen city center. Most hotels are within walking distance of each other, as well as many of the main sights, venues and shops. In the years to come, more than 400 new rooms are expected to be added annually.

....Copenhagen has the biggest youth hostel in Europe

A five-star youth and family hostel opened this summer in the heart of Copenhagen. It's situated on the harbour front, right next to Tivoli and close to Copenhagen's 'red hot trendy spot', Vesterbro. With almost 700 beds, the Danhostel will be the biggest youth hostel in Europe. But there are plenty of other opportunities for budget accommodation in Copenhagen.
