The Copenhagen area enjoys a milder climate than the rest of Scandinavia, so it's possible to spend a day playing golf at any time of the year.
If you have a golf handicap, you might like to take a round at Simon's Golf Club, a world-class course that recently hosted the Nordic Open. Nivå Golf Club is open to players with or without a handicap, and novices can swing their clubs on a 9-hole par 3 course. Both courses are located north of Copenhagen, about 20 minutes' drive from the hotel Scandic Eremitage**** in Lyngby, which offers both accommodation and golf course booking.
If golf doesn't fill all your waking hours, a canter in the vast Dyrehaven park might pose an attractive alternative for day two. The old red stables at Fortunens Ponycenter house both horses and ponies. There are trained instructors to accompany you, regardless of whether you're in the mood for a wild gallop or a gentle trot. Whatever the tempo, you'll be sure to need a little relaxation after a couple of days of physical challenges.
Restaurant Piil and Co, also in Dyrehaven, is housed in a delightful thatched house with a view of forest and lake - just the place for dinner.
