Royal couple move in

Danish Crown Prince Frederik and his bride Mary danced the bridal waltz at the beautiful castle Fredensborg Palace. And when the wedding feast was over, the young couple could call the castle their home. Now they are living here, just a 30 minutes' drive from Copenhagen, close to woodland and water.

Adjacent to the castle lies the inn Fredensborg Store Kro, built by the same royal entrepreneur as the castle itself, namely Frederik IV, and completed in 1723. The inn offers 49 individually-decorated rooms, as well as six meeting-rooms. To emphasise the royal connection, the Queen Margrethe Hall can be recommended; it has a light blue vaulted ceiling and antique paintings, and can cater for up to 130 persons.

Guided tours in the palace garden or a lecture on the castle and the Danish monarchy will provide your conference guests with a well-earned break during the day. And in the evening, you can begin your royal gala dinner with aperitifs and chamber music on the new terrace overlooking the castle approaches, with a view of the palace.
