Northern Europe's largest hotel in Copenhagen

It is the Radisson SAS Scandinavia in Copenhagen, which has the huge expansion plans - if they get carried out, the hotel becomes the largest one in Northern Europe.

The managing director of the hotel, Roy Kappenberger, would not inform how many rooms they are talking about, but the roumor has it that around 400 extra rooms will be available, in Scandinavia's new hotel tower.

Today the 4-stars hotel Scandinavia has 542 rooms, and it is thereby the largest hotel in Denmark. According to Kappenberger the new hotel tower will be ready in 2 or 3 years. If Scandinavia receives permission to continue with the planned expansion, without a problem, it will maintain its status as the largest in Denmark.

-Although the titel as the largest hotel in Denmark, could be seized by the Danish 2-stars low price chain Cab Inn, which is planning to open a hotel in 2008 in Ørestad with 700 rooms.
