Hilton gets integrated spa and wellness centre

Hilton Copenhagen Airport has invested DKK four million (approx. 535.000 Euro) in a new spa and wellness area. The Spa, which opened in April, is open to both hotel guests at the five-star-hotel and non-hotel guests.

The new unique spa and wellness centre is located on the hotel's second floor, which already offers a swimming pool and fitness centre.

- Spa and wellness is definitely one of the trends these days. We always aim to be ahead of the trends and that is why we have built the first integrated hotel spa in Copenhagen. The spa and wellness specialist Ni´mat, which already owns one of Copenhagen's oldest spas, manages this new spa and wellness area, says General Manager at Hilton Copenhagen Airport, Allan Agerholm.

He continues:
- The spa will of course appeal to our weekend guests, but it is also open during the week, offering relaxing treatments for the busy business guest etc. Located in the airport we expect that "jetlag treatments" for international travellers and "spa and wellness meetings" will be very popular. Furthermore we have brand new concepts regarding spa and wellness that no one in the Danish market has ever seen before.

Hilton offers the spa and wellness centre as a part of the hotel's meeting concept, where a spa experience should make a relaxing and different break from the meeting, helping to push the creativity to its uppermost limits.

A luxurious experience
Ni´mat is a Thai word and means luxury. The owner of Ni´mat, Heidi Østerby, says about her task at Hilton: "Ni´mat is already welcoming small and big groups. Some of them have meetings, others have a social arrangement including massage, body treatments and dinner in a nice atmosphere. It is very clear to us that this new trend is growing and it is exciting for us to be able to offer these relaxing experiences in a modern spa with an international atmosphere.

The new spa and wellness centre at Hilton is open for the public in general. Private parties where spa and wellness will become a part of the hotel experience will also be introduced with new and different "Spa party packages", currently unknown in the Danish market.
