Hotel and gastronomic palace opens in Tivoli
Following a major refurbishment Nimb - the former jewel in the crown of Tivoli Gardens' restaurants - will reopen 1 May 2008 in the shape of a Gastronomic palace of unprecedented dimensions. And for the first time in history there will be a hotel within the heart of Tivoli Gardens.
The large Nimb building in Tivoli has been taken over by the Danish Grønlykke Family who are renowned for their uncompromising approach to quality. No expense has been spared in transforming Nimb into a luxury hotel offering casual dining, gourmet restaurant, bar, vinoteque, grill-bar, dairy, chocolate factory, meeting rooms and conference & banqueting facilities.
Façade will be opened up
The famous period Moorish style facade at Nimb with its towers and minarets has been brought back to its former glory, and changes to the building facing Bernstorffs Street will be particularly noticeable with the facade being opened up in such a way that passers by will be able to visibly follow the production of the house brands throughout the year, which are on sale in the shop.
Gourmet hotdogs
The renowned hotdog stands of Copenhagen will be given some serious competition when Nimb opens its gourmet hotdog stand Løgismose grill bar with an ambition to be the best in town. You will be able to purchase gourmet hotdogs produced from hand made sausages, brioche and homemade ‘remoulade'. Danish tradition demands that the hotdogs should be accompanied by cold chocolate milk, in this case made from Summerbird chocolate and milk from the in-house micro dairy - all organic of course.
Hotel within the heart of Tivoli Gardens
For the first time in history it will be possible to check into a small luxury hotel and spend the night in the heart of Tivoli Gardens. Hotel Nimb will consist of 13 suites with views over the historic gardens, from DKK 3,900 per night. All rooms will be individually designed with open fireplaces and antique furniture along with attention to every detail.
The Grønlykke business also includes Falsled Inn in Funen, the award-winning restaurant Kong Hans in Copenhagen, Summerbird Chocolate as well as the delicatessen brand Løgismose.
