Copenhagen Hosts Northern Europe's First Gaming Exhibition

Northern Europe's first consumer exhibition for computer and video games - D3 Expo 2006 - is taking place November 18th through 19th in Øksnehallen, Copenhagen, Denmark. The opening includes an extravagant launch of the long-anticipated PLAYSTATION 3.

Already in 1998 the global video game industry passed the global movie industry in terms of turnover. Through the past ten years the world's greatest exhibition for computer and video gaming; E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) in Los Angeles has celebrated the industry's new product releases pulling professional gaming-enthusiasts from all over the world to the city.

Today the gaming fans of the Northern hemisphere are also given the opportunity to let loose in a gigantic virtual fantasy world. It takes place on the 18th November 2006 when D3 is opening the doors to Northern Europe's, first of its kind, exhibition for computer and video games in Øksnehallen centrally located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark.

D3 is a consumer-oriented exhibition for interactive entertainment. The days will be loaded with action, experiences and excitement in shape of the absolute newest games, the greatest gaming consoles, robots, lights, sounds and pictures - The whole place will be turned into its own city in the city, dedicated to the world of gaming.

Grand Opening with PLAYSTATION 3 launch
PLAYSTATION 3 is released on November 17th, 2006 and already the following day the public will be able to test drive Sony's new generation of the worlds most popular gaming console at the D3 Expo in Copenhagen.

PLAYSTATION 3 is not just a gaming console but also an advanced computer system based on the worlds strongest processor called the cell chip and the new disc format; Blu-Ray. With build in internet connection and an extensive online service PLAYSTATION 3 promises brand new opportunities in cyberspace.

Also Microsoft, EA, Atari, IO Interactive and many more will be present at the fair demonstrating the hottest and newest games, platforms, gadgets, software, devices and accessories.
