The executive committee of EULAR, European League Against Rheumatism, has just announced that their 2009 congress is going to be held in Copenhagen. The congress attracts more than 10,000 delegates from most of the world representing health professionals, patient organisations and scientific societies in the field of rheumatology.
Executive director of EULAR Fred Wyss says that Copenhagen was chosen as destination for the 2009 congress first of all because the city has all the facilities required to handle an event of this scale, including a large congress centre, excellent infra structure with only 12 minutes transport time from congress venue to city centre, good hotels in the right category and nice venues for social events: 'In addition, Copenhagen is a very attractive city beautifully situated by water - and inhabited by friendly people, which also counts,' Fred Wyss concludes.
