Scandic
Scandinavia's largest chain of hotels can boast a thoroughly radical environmental policy, which, among other things, means that all the 19 Danish hotels by the end of 2007 will have been certified with the Nordic ecolabel "The Swan". The chain has furthermore recently commited itself to reduce its CO2 emission from its hotels by 100 percent, which means that the emission in 2025 will be completely obliterated. Guests are offered organic coffee and breakfast in all the hotels in Denmark. The rooms are also sustainable because the materials used all have been chosen for their respect for the environment.

Brøchner Hotels
Brøchner Hotels in Copenhagen became a CO2-neutral hotel chain in April 2008. The hotel chain, which includes Hotel Kong Arthur, Hotel Fox, Ibsens Hotel and Hotel Danmark, has commited to buying carbon credits equivalent to their collective emissions every year from this point forward. As another innovation, Brøchner Hotels now offers guests special "CO2 accommodations", whereby the room's traditional bottle of champagne is exchanged with a carbon credit of one tonne of CO2, which is subsequently delisted.
